BELLA IS HERE.........and what a delightful lil girl.

She's just a tiny might (about 15#) and is really ready to settle into a home environment and become a family member.  We are told she's about 3 years old.  She is more comfortable with other dogs, so I feel like she would do best if she had another dog as a fursibling to hang out with.

Bella does bring with her some baggage from her past having come from a commercial breeding facility, but if you don't hold the slight visual affect against her, it certainly doesn't slow her down.   She is missing her right rear foot just above the ankle.  Most likely her mother chewed it off shortly after she was born (not uncommon).  Like I said, it does NOT slow her down at all. However, for this reason, it probably would be best if she lose another pound or two.

She is still a bit shy with humans, but will let me pick her up with some encouragement. We've specifically practiced resting in the recliner with her on my lap for a nap (tough, but necessary training, ha).  The one thing that she does still need much work on is walking on leash......I'm sure as small as she is, it's been too tempting to not just pick her up and carry her, but that must change for her best interest now too.
