MAX UPDATE:  I'm recovered and back to bouncing around like nothing ever happened to me.  My foster mom tells me that I am a perfect house guest.  She's really impressed that I always let her walk into a doorway before her.....don't all gentlemen do that?  I love to stretch out on a cool floor or over the register and other times I prefer the couch or recliner.  I love treats, to be held and petted, rarely bark and I travel like a charm.  I want to share my LOVE with a new friend or family....WILL YOU CONSIDER ME?

Hello, my name is Max.  I was surrendered to a shelter in OK by my owners.  They did not take care of me.  I arrived with a nasty old fracture in my elbow.  The orthopedic specialist at K-State recommended having my leg amputated and I am recovering from that procedure currently.  I got around for quite a long time hopping on three legs, so this is not going to be a hard transition to me......but thankfully the PAIN will now be gone.  I am a very sweet boy with so many wonderful qualities that I hope a family will look past me being a tripawd boy and consider giving me a wonderful forever home.
