Miss Maya is a 1.5+ year old, 30#, sheltie girl.  She's completely vetted and healthy. She's being re-homed due to no fault of her own.  She came from a young family with toddlers and there just wasn't enough time to work on socialization.  She has already experienced a bath/groom, mastered wearing a collar, walking on leash, going up and down the deck stairs to go outside to do business.  Mostly, she wants to be LOVED and has made her spot on the couch next to her foster mom or even weasels over into her lap if she beats the other dogs to that spot.  She is very comfortable in a kennel (crate) and is fed in one as well as sleeps in one during the night.  Maya moves FAST and would be a good candidate for maybe fly ball or as a running partner, she just needs to get acquainted with lots of new sounds and noises and relax a bit first.  Hoping her new family will consider taking an obedience class with her as it will definitely help her social skills AND confidence level.  She's definitely a diamond in the ruff !  If you can't offer her a good amount of exercise and attention, please don't ask about adopting her. NO SMALL CHILDREN.
