3-13-13 UPDATE: Ethan has made a wonderful recovery. He was recently seen by both a Neurologist and Opthamologist that gave him a good bill of health. He has had no additional seizures and he will be completely weaned off this meds (unless future seizures occur) by the time he is 5-6 months of age. Although he does not hear ALL TONES, we can not see any alteration in his vision any longer.
UPDATE:
Lil Ethan had a series of grand mal seizures 2-6-13 that has left him with sight/hearing impairments. At this time we do not know how much if any of this outcome will be long term. In several months, he will need to be re-evaluated for possibly being able to be weaned off the anti-seizure med as the cause of his seizures was not determined.
We know this news will certainly affect many interested adopters; however, we are hopeful that Ethan's "SPECIAL ANGEL" is out there waiting to love and care for him. It is amazing how he maneuvers confidently and it is even hard to detect his sight/hearing issues at times. He's such a lovey, cuddle little (soon to not be so little, ha) cotton ball pup...he's not hard to love, that's for certain.
As one might also expect, his emergency medical care rose to over $1,000 (he is worth every cent of it); however, if you are not in the position to adopt Ethan, please consider a modest (any amount helps) donation to help with his medical expenses. Thank you.
Updated photos to come soon.....he's even cuter now.
Ethan is CHW (Color Headed White)collie puppy that will be available for adoption. (DOB: 12-9-12) These are NOT farm dogs (living outside with dog house) and will only be placed in companion households.
