WE DO NOT SHIP OUR DOGS. Upon written application, approval all members of the adoptive family (including canines to ensure compatibility) must be willing to travel to Missouri to complete the adoption process.

A SECURELY FENCED YARD IS MANDATORY. Only on rare occasions do we have an older dog that we feel is not a flight risk and will consider placing it in a home without a fenced yard with an owner agreeing to a strict compliance of keeping the dog on leash whenever it is outside a securely fenced area.

Dog ownership is a serious responsibility. The goal of Sheltie Shack Rescue is to ensure that each person who adopts a dog is aware of this responsibility and that they are morally, financially and physically capable of caring for a dog. Unfortunately, not everyone who wishes to own a dog should own one.

The following application has been designed to aid both you and Sheltie Shack Rescue in determining whether you and your family are a good match for any of our available dogs. The application information helps us in suggesting which dog is the best fit for your family and lifestyle.

After clicking on the submit button, you should receive confirmation that your applicant was received. If not, it was probably not completely filled out.  Please allow 24 hours for a reply.
